How to create an invoice
Creating an invoice with this free generator takes three steps:
- Add your details. Enter your business name and address under From, then your client's details under Bill to. Set an invoice number, issue date, due date, and currency.
- List what you're billing for. Add a line for each product or service with a description, quantity, and unit price. Line totals, the subtotal, tax, and grand total are calculated automatically.
- Download or print. Click Download PDF to save a clean, print-ready invoice, or use Print to send it straight to your printer. Optionally upload your logo first to brand the document.
What to include on an invoice
A clear, professional invoice usually contains the following:
- The word "Invoice" and a unique invoice number for your records.
- Your business name, address, and contact details, plus the client's billing details.
- The issue date and a payment due date.
